About me

Who is this country girl?

My name is Tina. I was raised in the country.  I'm not really a farm girl though and definitely not cowgirl material either. It would be easier to say I grew up with a BIG yard. The kind of space that lets you explore your interest. My parents kept a garden. My brother developed his interest in cars, boats and motorcycles. Me, I'm a misfit.

I want to plant a garden.  Those cute little plants I buy each spring just don't stand a chance.

As for the mechanical toys my brother likes....I can't swim and I once feel off the back of my brothers  motorcycle. Yep, straight off the back and bouncing on my butt.

I thank God everyday for the adorable man I married.  He amazing with a saw and a nail gun.

Follow along as I explore my life.  What is my life about?  Home and Family.

You've GOT to be kidding!!??!!

Ok, so what do you think of when I say Bacon Cheeseburgers on the grill?  How about Cheesey Potato's?   Or try this, Cheescake Factory?

I know, RIGHT?  Heaven!

Until the new doc says my blood work came back a little off.  He actually used the words PRE-diabetic and elevated cholesterol!  Add that to the already high blood pressure and what are you thinking now?   Yep, one unhappy country girl.

So I've been thinking, I need to start eating right. But what's that mean and how so I do that?  I'm hoping you'll join me on this new adventure.  So do you what's your favorite low fat, low sugar recipes?

Where do I Start? Why write a Blog?

Honestly, I don't know.

I'm not a particularly interesting person.

I'm not a particularly talented person.

With that disclaimer, let me tell you what I am.  I am a country girl that somehow ended up in the subburbs.  I live in a relatively small house...1700 square feet including the lower level.  I live here with the most wonderful husband and fantastic daughter.  I have very strong religious beliefs. I know others share their faith on their blogs. However I don't think this is the proper format to share those with you.  So stick with me and I'll share with you how a country girl survives here in the burbs.
